No Compromise Furniture

Sometimes in life, we must make compromises. For example, to keep an argument from advancing to a dangerous level, we keep our mouth shut. To make it to work on time, we might have to skip washing the breakfast dishes. We don’t buy extra stuff while saving up for a big flat screen television set, and so forth. There are some things, however, we should never compromise like our value and worth. University Loft Company will not compromise its value by cutting corners and choosing cheap ways to build furniture. We offer our customers the best in no compromise furniture with products that are tested and safe.

State-of-the-Art EngineeringUniversity Loft Dovetail Drawer Construction

The Makers of Cool uses state-of-the-art technology and engineering. Rather than gluing particle board together, we use English dovetail joints. Corner blocks add durability. With full-extension drawer glides, Uloft drawers open with ease. Our bed end posts have greater surface-to-surface contact for better strength. High-performance engineered wood casegoods come with high pressure laminate tops, PVC edge banding, and metal drawer boxes with integrated heavy-duty slides. This ensures greater strength and longer life of the furniture.

Safety is a Priority

Our beds meet the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Requirements for child safety standards for entrapment and guardrail safety. The distance between spreader rails on our bed ends is small enough that a 3.5” x 6.2″ block cannot pass through.

Our bed ends are designed to be used as ladders. However, ladders can be ordered with the bunk beds. They come with labels that instruct proper usage, including exact pin positions for upper bunk springs and rails relative to the ladder placement.Graduate Series Bed Ends

We do not compromise with safety or engineering of ULC furniture products.

Fun Fact:

In ancient Rome, citizens who could afford them slept on raised beds made of metal and had woven metal supports to hold the feather or straw-stuffed mattress. If you didn’t have that kind of money, you slept in something similar but made from wood with wool strings to hold up the mattress. Poor folks used a mat on the floor.
