You’ve probably heard the expression, “giving it the old college try”, right? It’s usually interpreted along these lines: expending your best effort in an attempt to accomplish something. Sounds great, right? Something to be proud of, the kind of effort that would improve nearly everything. But at University Loft Company, we prefer the wisdom of Yoda:
“Try not. Do or do not! There is no try.”
In other words, it’s not good enough to merely attempt to do something of worth; you simply do it!
Here’s an example:
Instead of just trying to be more environmentally conscious and “green”, at University Loft, we do it in several different ways. From recycling our cardboard packaging to printing our catalogs on demand to planting more trees than we harverst, we act in ways that are kind to our planet day after day.
But the biggest way we act responsibly to benefit our environment is by using Environmentally Farmed Timber, or EFT, in our solid wood student furniture for college and university residence halls and campus housing.
Yes, at University Loft, we don’t merely give it “the old college try” to do the right thing for our environment. We do it. We do it with every piece of college and university furniture we build. We do it because it matters – to our customers, to the students who live with our modular furniture, and to the survival of our planet. We think Yoda might approve, too. Don’t you?
