Let’s be clear from the start: University Loft builds solid-wood furniture for colleges and universities across America and around the world. We don’t manufacture clothing and have nothing to do with the Team USA uniforms for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. But if we did, it’s a pretty good bet that we wouldn’t make those garments in China. You see, we’re an American company and we make our student furniture for residence halls, dorm rooms and student housing right here in America. We think it matters.
In fact, at University Loft Company, we’ve been proudly producing American-made student furniture for more than 25 years. Today, we continue to be the leader in providing student furnishings to college housing markets, serving more than 1,200 colleges and universities throughout the USA and around the globe. We’re proud of our legacy, and we’re proud to maintain our commitment to doing things right – like building our student bunk beds and other college furniture from solid wood – in a factory in the American heartland: Greenfield, Indiana.
So, if it bothers you when you read stories of products that should be made in America but aren’t, think of University Loft Company. We’re not alone, of course. There are American manufacturers out there, and we encourage you to support them.
Made in America. It matters. That’s why it continues to be the ULoft way.
