The thing about furniture is that it tends to stay in one place. For this reason, the traditional expectation is that customers would come to visit the furniture, and the furniture would not go visit them.
Of course, we love when people come to see us. For our customers’ convenience, University Loft has traditional showrooms in Greenfield, Indiana; Morristown, Tennessee; and Bentonville, Arkansas. These showrooms go well beyond traditional expectations—they really offer visitors an up-close look at a lot of great furniture, as I’ll discuss in my next post.
Where we really go above and beyond expectations, however, is with our mobile showroom. As you can see from the photos, it’s a large truck… with a showroom in the back!
We use the mobile showroom to show customers specific furniture for college residences. We drive it to student events to get their thoughts on our new college dorm room solutions. And we use it in a number of other creative ways to help demonstrate our solid wood furniture and modular furniture.
