Do you have one of those drawers that you throw everything into because you don’t know what else to do with it? A “junk drawer.” Well, for many, spring cleaning is underway and that means bringing order to many places that got disarrayed throughout the year. This is also a good time to sort through that “junk drawer” and put those misplaced items away. It’s easy to keep your articles in order when you have special places for them. Stay organized. LOFT has wardrobes to help. Our wardrobes have drawers with full-extension drawer glides opening dully without falling out. A rod for hanging clothes is included, and The Makers of Cool add an extra feature where the doors to open 270° and lay flat against the sides.
Here are some ways that will help you stay organized.
What Goes Where
First decide where you want to put your items. Once you make that decision, you will be less likely to add to the “junk drawer.”
To Hang or To Fold
Hang the clothes that wrinkle easily. The ones that don’t wrinkle can be folded and placed in the drawers or on the shelves. Keep a steamer around ready to relax any wrinkles or keep a wrinkle releaser and squirt in on the crinkled area. You will always look crisp when you go out. A word of caution: do not use the wrinkle releaser under your eyes. It doesn’t work that way.
Built in Desk
You can get a wardrobe that has a pull-out desk which is ideal when you want to save space. Store the items typically use while at your desk in the drawer directly below it. Be careful to only use that drawer for desk items or use a divider to keep other pieces in their own space. Otherwise, you will have a new “junk drawer.”
Don’t Forget the Chair
Soft seating, a Two-Position Chair, or a desk chair all will work. They don’t really help you stay organized, but they do help you get off your feet.
C.S. Lewis, the author of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and The Chronicles of Narnia, was in a writing group with J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Lord of the Rings, were in a writing group called The Inklings. Tolkien didn’t like Lewis’ book, but no one is quite sure why.
