Our solid wood furniture is made from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree, also known as Environmentally Farmed Timber or EFT, and for good reasons. The Hevea Brasiliensis trees are kind to the environment as they grow five times faster than oak trees and have many different uses. Throughout their life, they are tapped for latex. When the latex production comes to an end, the trees are then hewn down and the wood is used for furniture and other items. From the beginning of their lives until the end, Environmentally Farmed Timber produces for the natural world. EFT is classified as hardwood, and I mean it is HARD. In independent tests, it has been proven stronger than Northern Red Oak.
Let’s not forget that EFT’s grain has its own natural beauty. With our furniture you can have it stained to match your place or leave it natural. You can select from an array of collections and match fabrics and finishes to suit your taste.
