University Loft Company proudly welcomes Fred Kolacki, new Executive Vice President of Operations and Business Development reporting to CEO, founder and owner, James N. Jannetides (J Squared, Inc.).
Fred has an extensive background in OEM, Marine, Transportation, RV, Industrial and Consumer Product Manufacturing Design. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Product Design from Southern Illinois University and has continued his education via Gulf Pacific MBA Program, Strategies, Inc., Lean Training, and American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) Technical programs. Fred was a member of the ABYC Technical Committee, served as Educational Committee Chair and was nationally elected to the ABYC Board of Directors.
Prior to joining University Loft Company, Fred oversaw the Marine and Industrial business unit for Charles Industries, a manufacturer of quality products, services and innovative solutions to telecommunications, utility, government, marine and industrial markets worldwide. He previously served as the Vice President/Partner of Novatron Corporation who was a global manufacturer of custom instrument switch panels and electrical harnesses for the Marine and Specialty Vehicle Industries. Fred’s career with Novatron began in key account management, business development and product development for Dash Panel, IP, Control Panel, Molded Interior dash and consoles, electrical distribution panels and OEM wiring harness products. He later directed the engineering department, sales department, purchasing department and played a key role in identifying and implementing cost saving processes thought out the company.
He looks forward to moving to Indiana from Chesterfield, Michigan, with his wife Tina, his son Fred, who is attending Michigan Tech and his son Charlie, who is planning to attend Michigan State University in August 2016.
His position will include important elements of Materials Management (Supply Chain Management) by coordinating activities with Purchasing and with management overseas in Malaysia and China. In addition, all manufacturing and warehousing at Greenfield, IN and Morristown, TN; Product Development will report to Fred. In addition he will help coordinate the activities of the Project Management Group and administratively lead the Sales & Marketing function.
