The conception of University Loft Company took place in the mind of founder and CEO, James Jannetides. He was living in a college town in Illinois while attending Southern Illinois University. His idea for space-saving loft beds became a reality, and the first loft beds were built in the United States by American craft-people, and to this day, University Loft keeps Americans working. Our factories in Greenfield, Indiana and Morristown, Tennessee are abuzz with craft-people working hard to produce furniture that goes into places not only in America, but all over the world. We use strong materials, and that is why our furniture lasts for generations to come. Now, 30 years later, we create furniture for not only universities, but also GSA defense quarters, apartment housing and new developments right here in America.
