Solid Start to a Solid Answer for the Best Dorm Room Furniture

Ever play the parlor game, 20 Questions? It’s pretty simple, really. One player thinks of an object and another player simply asks questions that can be answered with a “yes” or a “no”. If the questioning player can zero in and guess the item within 20 questions, that player wins. One of the classic yes-or-no questions is, “Is it solid?” While the answer for some student furniture manufacturers might be, “Well, kinda; you see, we use this glued pressed board that…” But if the item is a piece of University Loft residence life furniture, the answer is an unequivocal and emphatic “YES.”

You see, University Loft uses solid wood in our college student furniture because we know it’s the best choice for appearance, strength and durability. We use a special kind of hard wood called Hevea Brasiliensis. HB is an environmentally-farmed timber that resembles the attractive grain of oak, but has also been proven even stronger than oak in independent testing at Federal Testing Laboratories.

University Loft's Master Wood Crafters Build Better Student Residence Furniture with Solid WoodAnd because University Loft’s HB hardwood is milled in solid components when we assemble these furniture parts (right here in America, by the way), using dovetail joints or mortise and tenon construction techniques, the result is a super-strong piece of college furniture designed and built to last for years in the dorm room or other student housing living quarters.

So, if you ask, “Is it solid?” and the item in question is a University Loft college student bunk bed, student desk, dresser or chair, the answer is “Yes. Yes, indeed. No question about it!”

What is your favorite lead question when you play “20 Questions”? Do you lead with the proverbial, “Is it bigger than a breadbox?”
