Loft expressly warrants its solid wood furniture against defects in materials (except foam and fabric) or workmanship caused by under normal use for 10 years from the date of delivery or installation by University Loft Company, whichever is later. University Loft Company will, at its sole and exclusive option, repair or replace any defective item that is unusable for its intended purpose. 

The Customer must give timely notice to Loft of the claim under this Limited Express Warranty.

This Warranty does not apply to damage caused by the Customer’s misuse of it, the transport carrier, or alterations to product not expressly authorized by Loft.  It also does not apply to “Customer’s Own Material” (i.e., material supplied by the Customer that is not a standard Loft product offering) used in the manufacture of Loft products. A product will not be considered defective, and Loft will not be obligated to replace it, if the product is not installed or used as recommended in Loft’s written planning, installation or user guides.  Damage to the product due to abuse of the product, negligent use of the product, willful destruction of the product, or use of the product other than for its original intended purpose, including storage or use under ambient conditions not suitable for fine wood furniture, are not covered under this Warranty. Loft will not be liable for consequential, economic, or incidental damages, including lost profits, attorney’s fees and costs, arising from any product defect. International Warranties may differ. 

This Limited Express Warranty is the only warranty, express or implied, that Loft extends to its customers.  Loft specifically disclaims any and all other express or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and of intended use.  The remedies set forth in this Warranty are the sole remedies provided by Loft under this Warranty. 

University Loft’s furniture is handcrafted and finished, slight variations in color are to be expected, as no two pieces of wood are identical. The presence of small knots, seasonal marks, and imperfect grain patterns are considered desirable characteristics of wood products, providing aesthetic differences in our wood furniture.
